Pears...More Than Just In Cocktails

 

    As children, we have heard that you should stay away from the  sweets and desserts before eating dinner or you will ruin your appetite, these days who cares, it’s your kitchen, handle yourself accordingly.  After doing a little research on fall fruits and vegetables, the pear stood out and not just in fruit cocktails. It’s the one fruit I have never personally fell in love with. It does have its health benefits from being high in fiber, offering a fair amount of vitamins and antioxidants, and considered a hypoallergenic food, who would have thought? Though it all sounds great, but adding some sugar and butter  clearly is more interesting than just snacking on a raw pear.  This week I was a bit more adventurous.  Whenever stepping into the kitchen you have the ability to be as creative as you want with no restraints. How many of you have often had pie or cobbler and just never considered baking one yourself? This simple yet delicious Pear Blueberry Cobbler brings the right mixture of sweet and tartness to satisfy your sweet tooth.
