1 lbs Green Beans

⅓ cup dry white wine

½ cup water or chicken/vegetable broth

1  tsp butter

½ half white onion (chopped)

1 garlic clove (minced)

½  tsp  kosher salt

½ tsp pepper

¼ tsp dried basil

¼ tsp crushed dried rosemary

¼ tsp thyme


  1. In large sauce pan, combine wine, butter, garlic, and onion, and spices/herbs

  2. Once sauce starts to boil, reduce to simmer add green beans

  3. Let green beans simmer for for 10 min until they are tender and still crisp

  4. Serve



Optional Serving Suggestion


1. Steam option

  • Steam green beans until tender and still crisp

  • Toss in  wine sauce and serve

2. Broth Option

  • Substitute water for chicken or vegetable broth
